The Moana Surfrider

The Moana Surfrider is up there on the list of most iconic hotels in Hawaii.

It’s hard to miss when you walk along Kalakaua Avenue. The hotels sits pretty on Waikiki Beach, as a very grand, all white, colonial style luxury hotel. While we stayed here, we saw bride after bride being photographed on the premises. It’s very touristic, and we didn’t mind one bit.

Of course we ordered an Acai bowl for breakfast, and I can never say no to banana pancakes. Although my favourite was probably the tortilla wraps. Our room overlooked the middle of Waikiki Beach which really doesn’t get more, well, Waikiki. We were lucky the weather was perfect during our stay, because we sat and people watched for hours from our balcony under the gorgeous Hawaiian sun.

On one of the afternoons during our stay, were were treated to High Tea at The Veranda. You simply choose your tea, and everything else is ready to go, miniature tasting size. Another great activity to do on the beach, even if you’re not a guest of the hotel.

Another favourite from our time in Waikiki!

We were guests of the Moana Surfrider. However all thoughts, as always, are my own.
