Dar El Sadaka

The purpose of our trip to Morocco was to hang out with the Alohas Sandals family in Marrakesh. We spent the first few days at the start of our trip with a bunch our friends, who are also amazing creators. We stayed at a guest house created by Jean-Francois Fourtou, an artist and sculptor from France, who bought a large block of land in Marrakech many years ago, and has now projected his whimsical vision to create the incredible property that is Dar El Sadaka. I would say this was the most unique place we stayed in Marrakech because you really can’t find an experience like this anywhere else in Morocco. There’s an Upside Down house, Giant’s house, and various animal sculptures scattered around the property, from giraffes to monkeys. Sounds bizarre, right? Well it certainly is, but equally incredible at the same time. The property is also huge, so we kind of felt like children in an adult’s playground. I think this was part of the artist’s intention, as very detail to this place was created for a reason.

We loved everything about our stay as the hosts and staff went above and beyond to make our stay as a group so enjoyable. See https://darelsadaka.com for more details, and enjoy the photos below!

For a second there, I kept thinking if the giraffe is real. It looks so lovely. Hopefully, I’ll be able to come and experience it too.
