Editing my photos with Lightroom CC

I’ve partnered with Lightroom to show you how I use the program to achieve my edits! I’ve been editing with Lightroom for about three years now, and there is no editing platform or program that can even compare to it. I use filters that I’ve custom built in the program to create a style and vibe for my imagery. I mainly love the ability to play with colours, and that the quality is always retained in every photo. I’m all about vibrant imagery, and because Lightroom is such a detailed program, it allows you to create any style you like. For the blog, I sometimes prefer my images to be more mellow, as opposed to really vibrant on Instagram, and Lightroom lets me do both.

I love that Lightroom can be for hobbyists, as well as professional photographers. The interface is very straight forward, and once you use it, you’ll never use anything else – trust me! If you want to get started but are a little scared by new programs, Adobe has some great tutorials on YouTube. There’s so much information out there about Lightroom and tutorials, so get on it if you haven’t already to up your photo game!

Some personal tips: I’m always about keeping highlights down, and bringing up sharpness and contrast a little to maintain details and allowing your photo to pop more. I have about 30 filters I’ve developed over time that I use for all different purposes. It’s great to develop your own style and save your edits to maintain a certain look on your images.

See some before and after images below from our stunning trip to Thailand, where basically every nook and every corner was an “insta-worthy” shot.

I really love the way you edit your photos! I’ve been using lightroom for nearly a year now and don’t want to use anything else, ever. For all the reasons mentioned above! 😃
