Mövenpick Hotel Bangkok

Our hotel in Bangkok! We only had a short stay in Bangkok for two nights, but had a wonderful time experiencing the Movenpick Hotel while there. We were so tired from our travels to Europe in the weeks prior, and were extremely jet lagged. We wanted to make sure we rested up and reset our minds before our adventures through Chiang Mai & Phuket. Movenpick Hotel was the perfect place to unwind and relax, but also do a teeny bit of exploring during our quick stop through Bangkok. The staff were very hospitable and made our entire stay so relaxing! The hotel is fairly new and is still launching their final tower of rooms. Although it’s quite a large hotel, it still feels very comfortable.

The highlight of our stay was dinner at Lelawadee Restaurant, the restaurant located on the ground floor.

For reference, we enjoyed these dishes which you can see pictured below:

Food: Pad Kee Mau (noodles with seafood, Thai basil & chilli), Tom Yam Goong (hot & sour soup with prawns), Suea Rong Hai (beef steak with chilli dip), Phad Thai (Shrimps with rice noodles)
Drinks: Lelawadee Iced Tea (colour changing drink), Coatl-Snake Mocktail (lychee mixed mocktail)

The dishes were all insanely good and I’m thinking back to the meals right now as I type this. Thai cuisine has to be one of my favourites, which is why I could never get sick of travelling through Thailand. Good food is so so important, and you can find it right here!

There are several communal areas for meeting and hang out spots. As guests in an executive suite, we were able to enjoy breakfast in the exclusive lounge there. The pool looked divine, but we spent most of our time indoors escaping the infamous Bangkok Heat. I can’t wait to get back to Bangkok again soon to show Damian more of my favourite sights in the city, and I know we’ll be back to Movenpick Hotel someday very soon!
