EAST Miami

A few weeks ago we spent some time in Miami for Miami Fashion Week. We stayed at EAST for the whole week, located in the business district/Brickell Plaza and it made for such a great second visit to Miami!

EAST is directly attached to Brickell City Centre, so it only took an elevator ride downstairs to do some shopping. Stores include Saks Fifth Avenue, APM Monaco, Sephora, Zara, Giuseppe Zanotti and a whole lot more of great designer stores! Their restaurants on site are super delicious, and set a really high standard for other U.S. based hotels. We especially enjoyed dinner at Sugar, located on the rooftop level. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos to share because it was a quite dark and ambient setting, and we did want to just enjoy our last night in Miami there without bringing the camera out. Sugar is a fusion restaurant which does a twist on some amazing Eastern style dishes from sushi to bao.

The hotel itself is very modern. I loved the feel and design of the room, and the bar and pool area is designed to feel quite modern, yet comfortable and relaxing at the same time. It almost has a resort like feeling at the bar/pool. You do tend to forget that you’re in the middle of the city, which is really great.

EAST is also very conveniently located, it was only a short ten minute journey to get to Wynwood, or fifteen minutes to get to South Beach, in good traffic. I enjoyed that it didn’t feel touristy at all, and was told by locals that they all hang around this area for bars and dining over South Beach. It really just depends on the type of stay you’re looking for when you visit Miami, and this was perfect for us.

What a cool hotel! I’m impressed that you somehow didn’t get one person in your pictures lol. Love your pictures as always.
