Keemala Phuket

Our final hotel in Thailand was Keemala. Perhaps I’ve been saving the best for last? You’ll definitely see why below. The entire Keemala property is so unique. The room are unlike anything I’ve ever seen at any other hotel. For example, one of the villas looks like an onion/bulb from the exterior, while others looked like futuristic tents or caves. I especially loved how Keemala is inmate and small as a property, yet the villas were quite spread out that you felt privacy and seclusion. We were lucky to experience good weather during our stay, and enjoyed the outdoors, food, spa, and general ambience during our time here. I would definitely recommend a massage, as Damian and I both found it to be one of the best we’ve had in a while! Also, because the property sits quite high up, it wasn’t as hot as the other areas of Phuket. You manage to get that cool mountain vibe, but can also feel and see the ocean in the distance!

I also thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals because they felt like five star home cooked meals. There was something really hearty about the cooking, but the quality and presentation was of a high standard too. The chef spoke to us on the first night. He made us feel welcome and explained pretty much everything on the menu and how most ingredients were locally sourced or grown. I really loved that personal touch and his warm introduction. He also created one of the best in room dining experiences I’ve ever had which was an asian vs. western platter. And everything tasted just as good as it looked!

Overall, thanks to the staff, and special mention to the chef, we thoroughly enjoyed our several night stay at Keemala.
