Four Seasons Downtown

Kicking off our New York hotel series with Four Seasons Downtown!

We spent much more time in Downtown New York this trip, and I would really recommend this part of town for first timers in New York. There are so many things I got to see and do that I didn’t get around to doing on previous trips. We spent one morning visiting Oculus & Freedom Tower, had lunch in Chinatown, paid our respects to Anthony Bourdain by visiting his former restaurant, and did a whole lot of shopping I really didn’t need (kinda)! We also wandered through Little Italy and spent an afternoon at Battery Park. It might just be me, but it feels less crowded down here than midtown, although it still has that NYC vibe you’re seeking as a tourist!

Four Seasons is the perfect place to stay as it’s smack bang in the middle of all these downtown hotspots. It’s very refined. The hotel is so elegant, as all Four Seasons are, yet it was so comfortable and spacious. We had the cutest welcome treat waiting for us, which was a custom Instagram logo cookie, macarons & brownies. I don’t know who told them, but brownies are my go-to! My favourite part of our room was the bathroom. I wish I had more to share with you than a picture, but it is probably one of the best bathrooms I’ve ever stayed in due to comfort and functionality. As we travel a lot, I’m always comparing hotel features. I always look for bench space, shower pressure, lighting, and amenities in a bathroom, and Four Seasons Downtown passes with flying colours in all categories. There is also enough wardrobe space to store several year’s worth of shopping so you wouldn’t need to worry about that, and we also had the best night’s sleep during our stay. The beds are so plush. I was obsessed with the bar area. So New York & classy! We didn’t get to have a drink there but we’ll be back for sure!

Overall, the hotel was such a great place and space to relax while in the big apple! I know we can always rely on the Four Seasons for that.
