Azur Lodge is located in Queenstown, just five minutes drive from the centre of town. This cozy spot is sure to make you feel like you’re right at home. When we first arrived here, it was snowing heavily (in Spring!) and we were not prepared for it to be so cold. Luckily we were staying at Azur during this time as it was so lovely to lay by the fire and watch television while we waited for the snow to stop. Those tile warmers really came in handy at this place too!
The staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating, to the point where it doesn’t feel like a hotel and you’re staying with friends. If you choose to order in room dining at Azur, this means they’ll drive into town & pick up whatever you’d like! This works so well if you’re dying for some Fergburger, and you’d understand me better if you’ve ever been to Queenstown. Fergburger is Queenstown’s busiest burger joint with lines out the door all day long. Azur helped us to skip the line & did everything, even plating it up finely in our room for us. They also offer so many other services to make you feel right at home, including a home cooked breakfast! I really loved breakfast here as it felt like my mother’s cooking.
The best part of all would be that bath tub. My god! We were lucky enough to catch one sunset where the skies cleared up and I soaked away as the sun went down (at 9pm!). It felt sublime to be sweating in the tub while the cold air from outside blew against my face. The bathtub also has insane jets to give you a true hot tub experience. Don’t know if the bubbles were the best idea once the jets came on though – haha!
