Park Hyatt Mallorca

We left La Residencia and drove one and a half hours to the other side of the island to Park Hyatt Mallorca in Canyamel. Park Hyatt is one of my favourite hotel chains as the standard and quality is always unwavering at all their hotels around the world, in my experience. We loved staying here as it’s close to many of Mallorca’s best beaches, the room was more than comfortable, and the service was impeccable. The layout of this hotel is really unique. The rooms are spread out all throughout the property, and as you’ll see below, the hotel looks more like a small village than a hotel. It felt really different and I loved this style! To reach your room, you can either walk or be driven via buggy as some of the rooms are quite far from the reception by foot. There are four restaurants on the property, which include the Balearic Restaurant (main restaurant – multiple cuisines), Asia (Japanese/Chinese/Korean inspired), Voro (gastronomic), and Tapas (Spanish). My favourite meal during our stay was the dinner served at Tapas. I mean, of course the Spanish will do Spanish food in the best way possible! At Tapas, they’ve taken some local classic dishes and recreated them to create an amazing menu which is a whole fusion of unique flavours, while keeping the traditions at heart. I hardly knew what I was eating as it all looked so bizarre, but was plated to perfection. And I loved every single bite. The property as a whole is a really relaxing experience and I love that it didn’t feel like a traditional hotel. There were so many areas to hang out in, views to be taken in, and lots of nooks to explore around the property, including a hidden rock pool! As I mentioned, a lot of the best beaches are quite close to the hotel, but we also stumbled upon the coolest caves which are just a five minute drive down the road from the Park Hyatt, called Cuevas de Artà. Be sure to check them out if you are in the area!
