Hello again from one of my favourite places in the world, Singapore!

I shared a guide on some of my favourite to-do’s last year, which you can find here, and now I’m back with another list of things to eat and see while in town. A special thank you to Protravel International and to the Singapore Tourism Board for inviting us to experience their newly launched Crazy Rich Americans Love Singapore journey!

I teamed up with Protravel International who helped create this guide. Protravel and Singapore Tourism Board arranged everything for us from the moment we stepped off the plane. Literally! We were picked up in a buggy at the airport bridge and escorted through customs, skipping all the hassle that comes with dealing with airports. They created an amazing itinerary for us filled with a wealth of cultural experiences, everything from fine dining to street food. Despite having visited Singapore over ten times, the itinerary was so unique and diverse that I didn’t feel like we were hitting up the same old spots.

EAT

Drinks at Ce La Vi

One of the best views of the city is undoubtedly found at Ce La Vi, Marina Bay Sands rooftop bar! I mentioned this place in my last Singapore blog, but this time we were actually able to enjoy it with an incredible sunset view. If you’d prefer to not stop for a drink, be sure to still check out the Sands SkyPark for incredible views of the city.

Lunch at Jaan

Jaan is a sensory dining experience not to be missed! This place really blew us away and was our favourite meal of the trip. Chef Kirk Westaway has created the most incredible modern British menu. See the menu below, and all the photos from our lunch. I could not fault any part of this experience, and the absolute highlights for me were the starters, the scallop pasta, & the pork loin! Unfortunately, I realise we have no photos from the dessert as we basically inhaled it. If you’re looking to go a little extra fancy with your meal while in Singapore, this would be the place to do it. The restaurant is very intimate, with approximately only thirty seats so bookings are essential! To top it all off, it also has incredible views over Marina Bay Sands.

Dinner at Chinoiserie

Located in The Shoppes at MBS, Chinoiserie was an incredible dinner experience, by chef Justin Quek. Although I didn’t capture the whole meal, you can sneak a peek at some of the dishes on the menu below. His famous foie gras black truffle xiao long bro were to die for! We relocated upstairs for dessert so we could enjoy it while watching the MBS light show.

Lunch at Candlenut

Inspired by his grandmother’s cooking, chef Malcolm Lee has created a unique dining experience at his restaurant Candlenut. At this one Michelin star restaurant you can find an interesting spin on some Perenakan classics. I particularly loved the satay, rendang, and the crab curry!

Lunch at Odette

One particular restaurant I’d heard a lot of buzz about in Singapore would be Odette. And it did not disappoint! We had a wonderful lunch here and were completely stuffed by the end of it, only to be told we had been served the smaller version of the lunch! Every detail of this restaurant is absolute perfection, from the decor to the service. While everything was amazing, I was dying at the cheese selection that was offered to us prior to dessert. Scroll down to see! The dishes are actually quite simple with not many ingredients, yet executed so wonderfully. We’ll definitely be back here for the dinner on our next visit!

Indochine

We stopped by Indochine for dinner on our last night in the city. The main perk of this restaurant is the view! The rooftop bar gives you an amazing 360 view of the city. I know I keep talking about the views in this blog post, but each spot is definitely unique from the last. We enjoyed the first light show from up here, and as there are two shows on each night we were able to head downstairs just in time for the 8.45pm show after our dinner! I love that they change the shows often so with every visit we get a different experience. It really is a must do!

DO

Perfume Class at Sifr Aromatics

Just around the corner from Haji Lane, you can customise your own personal scent at Sifr Aromatics. The store is quite rich in history and has been run by the same family for several generations. After getting quizzed about my personal style and day to day habits, a peach inspired scent was created for me! You can book sessions for a solo experience or as a group at this store.

Sail on the Le Tara

Yay! A boat named after me! Just kidding, but let’s just say that it was. We got to sail on The South China Sea on the wonderful boat, Le Tara. We were lucky enough to experience this one of a kind activity in Singapore, and luckily had the most amazing sunset to end our day. I’d highly recommend this luxurious experience, which can be achieved at a really affordable price! .

Fort Canning

This gem is hidden in the ground at Fort Canning Park. I’d seen pictures of it a while ago but finally got around to visiting on this trip and I’m so glad we did! I’d highly recommend bringing your widest lens if you plan on taking photos!

The Intan

The Intan is a collection of all things Perenakan. The owner started collecting Perenakan pieces over thirty years ago, and has amassed an astounding collection in his Perenakan style home. We were invited to experience a morning of cakes, mahjong (exactly like in Crazy Rich Asians), and singing. The hosts were so kind and welcoming! To make a visit, bookings are essential and must be made prior to visiting.

Sakura Matsuri at Gardens By The Bay

Can’t make it to Japan for Sakura season? Until March 31st, Gardens By The Bay’s Flower Dome has an incredible display of cherry blossoms, and to get into the spirit you can even rent a kimono at the festival. I’d definitely suggest heading there early as it can get quite crowded. I’ve been to the flower dome dozens of times, but love that there is a new display and experience with every visit!

STAY

Capella

During this visit, we stayed at the stunning Capella in Sentosa. Capella is home to the famous handshake from the 2018 Summit. We loved our stay here, it’s such a relaxing escape from the bustling city, yet only a fifteen minute drive from town. Find out more information about this Capella here.
